The slightly more portable 7.6 x 4.8 X 0.41-inch (193.7 x 122.4 x 10.5-mm), 0.76 pound (345 g) Galaxy Tab 2 has the same specs as the larger model apart from a 7-inch, 1024 x 600 pixel (WSVGA) resolution TFT display, 8GB of onboard solid state storage and a 1200 mAh Li-ion battery (as opposed to the Li-ion 7,000 mAh in the 10.1-inch tablet) which promises 30 hours of audio or five hours of video playback.

The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 model will be available from April 22 for $249.99.

Samsung Galaxy 2 accessories&specifications

Samsung Galaxy New Android Tablet: iPad Competitor :
The Samsung Galaxy Tab has been unveiled, and whole it is up there with the iPad and somekinds, itdoesn’treally  else does it turn any heads in the process. In a market where Apple has dominance.

The main differences, it seems, are in it’s size, which,
at 7 inches, is larger than the Kindle, but smaller than iPad,
the Galaxy’s battery life is less than the iPad, lasting 8 hours
compared to the iPad’s 10 hour battery backup, and the operating
system which runs the hardware.
The operating system is the Android based 2.2 Froyo.
Samsung did wish to the the 3.0 Gingerbread Android operating
system, however this was not to be ready in time. There are plans
to later update the device to this operating system.
the system needing to be easy to use, and the user interface easy
to understand and work with them.
